Target Audience:  Physicians training or in practice in Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM); the series is also useful to a wide variety of other professionals in occupational health including nurses, industrial hygienists, toxicologists, and safety professionals. Content of the series is also appropriate to the needs of medical (MD) and public health (MPH) students who need a thorough grounding in OEM.

Learning Objectives: Participants in the Occupational & Environmental Medicine Colloquium Series will be able to…

  1. Recite the evidence or expert opinion associated with understanding options in public health referral of possible sentinel cases of occupational disease.
  2. Identify one or more barriers to implementing the evidence or expert opinion in occupational and environmental health practice
  3. Describe one or more public health or preventive strategies necessary either to implement the evidence or overcome barriers to implementation
Accreditation: The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.  The University of Connecticut School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of  1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
